Courtyard Garden Design

This courtyard garden could be viewed from multiple windows and was an access route connecting the house. It needed to look beautiful all year round and provide a shady retreat as an alternative to the rest of the sunny wider garden.

The garden accessories were a key feature to the styling and success of this beautiful courtyard. The copper water bowl was a perfect addition to the client’s sculptures and we selected a lovely limestone with a cobble detail. The hardscape was wrapped around and softened with lush green planting, with hints of blue, white and lime. Multistem feature trees look wonderful in the Summer and provide great winter structure.

The addition of lighting was crucial to the success of the garden and subtly highlights form and texture as the natural light fades.
